Chris and I had a wonderful Christmas. We stayed in California this year, and were able to spend some time with my family. We both missed Chris' family and Oregon this year, and plan on spending the Christmas and New Year's holiday there next year. Chris made a fabulous Christmas dinner. We were truly blessed by the generosity and good wishes of our friends and family.

Christmas decorations starting going up at our house this weekend and classic Christmas music is playing on the stereo. With Egg Nog in the fridge and the unmistakable smell of apple cider simmering on the stove it is a clear sign that Christmas is definitely upon us.

We spent Thanksgiving in Oregon. Friday night after work we put our stuff and our dogs in the car and headed north. Daris flew home Thursday evening (Thanksgiving day) after dinner, because he had to be at work on Friday. Chris drove home with dogs on Saturday. With each trip up there, it gets harder and harder for both of us to leave Oregon.

Chris' friend Kim gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. Mackenzie weighed in at 8 pounds 9.5 ounces and 20 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing well and Chris cannot wait to go to Oregon to see them both. Congratulations Kim & Bruce!
Daris' birthday - After church, Chris made lasagna and a chocolate cake. We met Price and Yvonne and their kids, Matt and some other friends for lunch at Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles in Long Beach. Followed by a brief nap. Chris, Grandma and I had the lasagna for dinner. I wasn't very hungry after lunch, but the lasagna was soooooo good. Later Angie stopped by the house to wish me a happy birthday (and eat some cake).
